The client asked for a warm picture, rather than just a family standing side by side, so I went for a composition with them embracing each other tightly.

I chose a pose that was unique to the two of you from a photo of you two. I used a background with sunlight filtering through the trees, which is perfect for a portrait on a sunny day.
